Once again this year, Giessen's Kultursommer will delight visitors with great live acts on the open-air stage at Schiffenberg Monastery.

Schiffenberg Monastery will become a meeting place for metal fans from all over Germany. Thrash At The Monastery brings together three of Germany's most successful thrash metal bands for an unforgettable evening.

With Kreator as headliner and Destruction and Tankard as support, fans can expect an outstanding metal festival. Kreator, the legendary thrash metal band from Essen, has been shaping the international thrash metal scene since the 1980s. Songs such as "Pleasure to Kill" and "Phantom Antichrist" have made the band an icon of the genre. The band became particularly well known for their debut album "Endless Pain" (1985), which presented a raw and unpolished thrash sound. The release cemented their place in the German metal scene and brought them international recognition.
