Alice Merton has undeniably become known as the girl with no roots. In her songs, she has always talked about celebrating life as a nomad and making a home wherever you want it to be. In addition to platinum and gold awards in Europe and the USA, Alice Merton's career has been characterized above all by extraordinary live moments. She has performed at renowned festivals such as Coachella, Sziget and Lollapalooza.

After two studio albums (MINT, S.I.D.E.S), a new chapter began in 2024 with the release of the EP Heron. In it, Alice turns her gaze inwards: Instead of looking for a home in the outside world, she embarks on an inner journey - characterized by the feeling of being lost and probably the most fundamental question of all: Who am I supposed to be, and how well do I really know myself? Heron questions her own happiness - in a world where we are constantly influenced by others' ideas of what happiness means to them, especially through social media. It has become almost impossible to tune out the noise and ask ourselves honestly: what do we really want from life? How well do we know ourselves? Can we find our own happiness without being constantly bombarded with other people's definitions of it? All these questions are part of Heron - a name Alice chose after landing in a new city again and observing these elegant birds in the middle of London Barbican. An unusual place for a heron, you might think, roaming quietly at midnight.
