A versatile concert evening with the hr-Sinfonieorchester under the direction of Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, who can be experienced as both conductor and violin soloist. The program includes Max Bruch's passionate 1st Violin Concerto, Antonín Dvorák's powerful 7th Symphony and "subito con forza" by focus composer Unsuk Chin - a striking contemporary work full of energy and contrasts. Szeps-Znaider combines interpretative depth with orchestral breadth and spans an arc from the Romantic period to the present day. An evening that impressively combines great symphonic tradition and modern tonal language.
