Westside Summer is back! Industrial culture meets culture in a truly unique setting on the site of the former Griesheim industrial park. This is one of the last opportunities to experience the area as it has looked for almost 200 years before it is transformed step by step into the ultra-modern "Frankfurt Westside" in the coming years. The banks of the Main in Griesheim, surrounded by industrial heritage, an old crane and a wild river, will once again be transformed into the "West Coast", offering open-air cinema, live concerts, the finest cuisine, yoga, workshops for kids, stand-up comedy, a vintage market and a curated wine festival in August. The West Coast spirit unfolds in magical moments between the river, starry sky, dance floor, sun deck, bar and industrial culture.

To anticipate one thing: The makers of Westside Summers would have shown this terrific movie about power games and crises of faith, about revenge and ravioli and the complex election of a new pope either way. The fact that the plot of the film virtually overlapped with the actual events is really only a side note.
The almost chamber play surprises with beguilingly beautiful images, Hitchcockian suspense, a very fine sense of humor and a fantastic plot twist. Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini and Stanley Tucci are so captivating - you would love to watch them for much longer. Now only one thing remains: Habemus good weather!
