August Burns Red from Lancaster/Pennsylvania are an impressive example of the innovative development potential of hard music. They took metalcore - a combination of metal riffs with the intensity of hardcore - to a new level. Their third album "Constellations" (2009) made it into the top 30 of the Billboard charts even without a hit single, while the follow-up "Leveler", released in 2011, reached number 11 in the USA and received high ratings in England and Scandinavia. Since the release of their 2013 album "Rescue & Restore", August Burns Red have definitely been among the top ten candidates in the USA, and their current, eighth album "Phantom Anthem", which has many new sound nuances and stylistic condensations in store for the band, has also placed high in the international charts.
