Private Function from Melbourne are more than just a rock'n'roll band with a punk rock heart - they are a cult phenomenon, a provocation, an attack on convention armed with electric guitars. Since 2016, they have been pushing the boundaries of the genre with anarchic wit and irreverent energy - both on stage and in the press shop.

The fact that their upcoming fourth album bears an ironic emoji of disinterest as its title is more than just a gag. It is both a statement and a mirror: the nihilism of a generation, packaged in sea shanties, electronic excesses and unleashed guitar riffs. The band themselves call the work "total madness".
