The Opernplatz, where business people usually rush around or tourists and passers-by stroll, is transformed into a small play paradise once again. Because then it's time for the 32nd time: children have right of way! The absolute highlights in the summer temperatures are, of course, the water games in the Lucae Fountain in front of the Alte Oper. Mini pedal boats are available there and the roller slide, which transports children directly into the fountain, guarantees fun in the water. Different watercourses can be constructed in the Marshall Fountain using sewage pipes, connectors, buckets and drinks crates. But that's not all. Climbing enthusiasts can watch the action from above on the crate climb and the climbing tower. The electronically operated bullriding is also great fun, where you try to stay seated for as long as possible while suddenly changing direction and speed. Bouncy cushions of different sizes are divided up according to age so that children of all ages can test their jumping ability undisturbed.

Those who prefer to be creative can let their imagination run wild in the creative corner with various materials and take home a souvenir of their creations. There are also countless small toys, ball games, mini-vehicles and board games. Every day, up to 1,000 children find a play area supervised by 35 educational staff in the middle of the city. Association chairman Michael Paris: "With this campaign, we want to promote intergenerational play and also show that all places in the city are suitable for children to play with each other and with adults and that play situations can be created with little effort. We want the city to be playable everywhere!"
