Four women meet at the airport who have two things in common: Their flight to New York is delayed and they are all going through or about to go through the menopause. At first glance, the four women seem as if they couldn't be more different, but hot flushes, panic attacks, insomnia and uncontrollable emotional outbursts quickly create a bond between them.

With a lot of tongue-in-cheek and without false inhibitions, the "Four Ladies in Hormone Rush" complain to each other about their suffering to legendary pop and rock songs from the 70s to 90s with new German lyrics.

Here, the taboo subject of the menopause becomes a comedic-musical firework display in a class of its own for all those directly and indirectly affected, for all former and future menopausal women and their relatives.
