When five top musicians who are at home on the world's great stages come together to perform a quintet evening of great masterpieces, the audience can expect something moving. Elisabeth Leonskaja, a Schubert interpreter of the highest order and closely associated with the museum concerts for decades, works regularly with the Jerusalem Quartet, Israel's leading string quartet. It is a pleasure and an honor for us to present this ensemble for the first time in our chamber music series.

Their program is created entirely in the spirit of the classical-romantic tradition and unites a triad of great masters: Franz Schubert's profound late piano pieces, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's accomplished "Dissonance Quartet" with its enigmatic introductory bars and finally Antonín Dvorák's rousing piano quintet.
