George Dalaras will perform at the Alte Oper Frankfurt in May 2025. The internationally acclaimed musician has been one of Greece's most important voices for decades and stands for an impressive combination of tradition and modernity. The evening will focus on Rembetiko - a musical style with roots in urban Greece in the early 20th century, often described as "Greek blues". Dalaras brings this style to the stage with great authenticity and musical depth and shows how relevant these songs still are today. Accompanied by excellent instrumentalists, he spans an arc from classical melodies to new arrangements and thus offers a multi-faceted concert between melancholy, virtuosity and cultural power.
