Barry Altschul's "Trio 3Dom Factor" with bassist Joe Fonda and saxophonist Jon Irabagon is one of the most exciting trios to emerge on the New York jazz scene in many years! Altschul (drums and percussion) played with Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Anthony Braxton in the band Circle back in the late 60s and went on major tours with dozens of percussion instruments in the 70s.

The three have only been playing together as a permanent formation since 2012, with ever-growing recognition and numerous awards. They display an energy and passion that is second to none. The repertoire consists of original compositions by Barry Altschul, but also by the other two musicians, as well as melodies from the American song book. Barry Altschul and his trio 3Dom Factor are a complete American jazz experience! "Tales of the unforeseen" from 2013 is as eloquent a testimony to this as the albums that followed.
