Once a month, Paul Janoschka invites guests from his wide musical circle to a special evening. Sometimes local, sometimes international, sometimes acoustic, sometimes electronic, but always with a changing line-up, new and fresh and in tune with the times. Creating new musical connections, bringing together fresh and established voices - the focus is on the idea of an open, lively jazz community - all in the name of ambitious jazz in Frankfurt. Alex Hitchcock is a London-born saxophonist, composer, arranger and producer who lives in New York. Since his breakthrough as a bandleader, Hitchcock has released four solo albums to critical acclaim. The Guardian newspaper described him as a "virtuoso" saxophonist, while BBC Jazz World praised him as a "pioneer of new jazz music in Britain".

Daniel Nagel, who studied in Mannheim and Amsterdam, went to New York to study with the renowned jazz bassist David Wong, played concerts in established venues all over the world and now lives in Berlin.

Max Stadtfeld, the outstanding drummer, improviser and bandleader living in Leipzig, who is both a warm-hearted optimist and an enthusiastic forward thinker. He works as a freelance musician and, together with Michael Wollny and his project Bau.Haus.Klang, opened the festival celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus.
