As the only baroque ensemble in Darmstadt whose members are exclusively professional musicians, the Darmstadt Baroque Soloists have now also made a name for themselves nationwide. The ensemble has set itself the task of finding its own approach to "early music", taking into account various music-historical traditions. Under the artistic direction of Ethem Emre Tamer, both well-known literature and rarely performed works are developed and performed. The baroque works of the Darmstadt court composers always take center stage. With their varied and exciting concerts, the Darmstadt Baroque Soloists have long since played their way into the hearts of a steadily growing audience and are now a great asset to Darmstadt's musical life. Their intensive study of Darmstadt's music-historical past and their stylistic understanding of English, French, German and Italian Baroque music is continually reflected in their performances, which are characterized by great care and professionalism. Working with internationally renowned soloists such as Giuliano Carmignola, Reinhard Goebel, Enrico Onofri, Maurice Steger, Johannes Pramsohler and Sonia Prina provides the members of the Baroque Soloists with inspiration and a wide range of ideas. In 2016, the Darmstadt Baroque Soloists received the coveted Darmstadt Music Prize.

The program includes works by Antonio Vivaldi, Georg Friedrich Händel, Antonio Brioschi, Giuseppe Antonio Brescianello, Henry Purcell and Johann Friedrich Fasch.
