The new / ninth book "Komisch, dass wir nicht merken, dass wir komisch sind" by Frankfurt author Ewart Reder is a comedy sampler. Glosses for the Frankfurter Rundschau, neues deutschland and other newspapers stand alongside satires and short stories that have been published in magazines and sometimes won awards. Gloves, dishwashers, cities, an entire planet speak here. Some columns are flown by a drone that knows the truth, including thoughts. Other glosses formulate distances, including on potatoes, poetry slams and gentlemen's evenings. The book also contains drawings and watercolors by the author. So there's plenty to look at on the evening. The audience has a say in what is read: read on demand. Props appear. West Berlin, the author's lost home island, prepares for the Day of German Unity and much more.
