Aristotelis Papadimitriou - Piano recital at the International Theater - 2for1-Tickets
The biography of Athens-born pianist Aristotelis Papadimitriou reads like that of a child prodigy: He received his first piano lessons at the age of five. He won ten prizes in the German music competition "Jugend musiziert''. At the age of 17, he obtained the Greek concert exam for piano, and at 18 he went to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. After further stops (Zurich, London, Paris), he developed into an excellent soloist who has since won over 50 prizes at international competitions. He is currently researching the early piano works of Robert Schumann and is known for his interpretations of Rachmaninoff. A must for classical music fans.
On this evening, the award-winning pianist will present a program of works by Robert Schumann.
As part of the 100th anniversary of Manos Hadjidakis' birth, several pieces by the Greek composer will also be played afterwards.
