The chlorine-rich days in lifeguard Schaluppke's long-serving hotspot pool are over! The pool has to be completely renovated and Rudi is faced with the challenge of finding a new job. As swimming pool specialists are in demand everywhere, Rudi embarks on an adventurous odyssey through the German swimming pool landscape. He helps out wherever there is a need. Here you accompany Schaluppke on his journey through themed spas, wellness oases and adventure pools. In bathing establishments where swimming is almost a minor matter, Rudi swings the terry towel and teaches pubescent girls and their annoying moms how to "mer-maide". A task that is anything but ordinary, even for a veteran lifeguard. Here you are plunged into unknown worlds of the wet milieu that an experienced lifeguard has never seen before. And as always, Rudi proceeds with his unmistakable humor and a clear message: Everyone into the shower! Schaluppke has never been as valuable as he is today. No matter where Rudi turns up, he's always the right man in the wrong place.
