The interplay of music, text and scenic realization brings six poems by Marie Luise Kaschnitz set to music, seven text passages, 15 musical repetitions, 30 gong sounds, black and white photographs and stamps to the stage. For the "Poetry meets sounds" series, Brigitte Leistikow has brought in the Italian composer Alberto Mompellio, who sensitively translates Kaschnitz's themes such as displacement, loneliness and death into music. Together with Marco Ramaglia at the piano, she will create a scenic concert reading for voice, piano and gong - complemented by excerpts from Kaschnitz's diaries and Satie's "Vexation".
