The melodies have already inspired thousands and thousands of young and old to enjoy classical music. A whole zoo of animals is presented in this talk concert for the whole family and colorful portraits of well-known fairytale characters such as Sleeping Beauty, the little Thumbelina or the Empress of the Pagodas on top of that.

In the "Carnival of the Animals", they can all be experienced up close: the noble swan, the mighty lion, the chirping birds, the slow tortoise. In them, the mischievous composer Camille Saint-Saëns also parodied many of his colleagues. And the whole thing was not actually intended for the public, but as a carnival joke, which the Frenchman was later even ashamed of. Why? And which was the only melody that Saint-Saëns did not find embarrassing?
