The town of Bad Nauheim is known throughout Germany for its outstanding Art Nouveau complexes and the Trinkkuranlage is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful of these. Top-class concerts are regularly held in the listed complex. Between the horseshoe-shaped colonnades, there is not only an orchestra shell, but also the spa fountain temple with its splashing fountains. Behind it rises the drinking hall, which is architecturally based on an ancient thermal bath. In its center is the gilded spring bar.

Fiete Anders is a sheep. If you are a sheep among sheep, where you feel safe, then everything is fine. But Fiete is different because he is different. He is not woolly white like all the others in his flock, he has red and white stripes. Deep in his heart, he feels that there must be a place somewhere where "different" is right. Driven by this longing, he sets off in search of it. He follows the red and white striped pattern and meets some contemporaries: an Italian greengrocer, a singing cat lady, a cheeky gang of rats from the garbage heap ... There are: the striped sheep Fiete, the street dog Harras, a singing cat, a wild gang of rats, a seagull from the Waterkant, a flock of sheep and Mrs. Koslowski, who conjures up little poetic stories from her cardboard boxes.
