Die Dramatische Bühne

This summer, the Dramatische Bühne is presenting plays from over 30 years of open-air festivals - from "Nosferatu" to "Die Nibelungen - Ritter der Kokosnuss". The vision is a revival of the ludicrous, foolhardy theatrical dream as it has been dreamed since Shakespeare's time: Stories full of silliness and profundity at the same time, rich in costume, scenery and (lazy) theatrical magic, the splendor and wretchedness of comedy and sleaze theater, endearingly old-fashioned, hackneyed and glorious at the same time.

"Nosferatu" is about the story of Count Dracula: Strange omens and forebodings accompany Jonathan Harker on his way to the castle of the strange Transylvanian Count Dracul. Obsessed by the count's bizarre personality, he becomes his will-less tool and prepares the way out of his solitude for the prince of the undead. Accompanied by plague and disaster, he invades the peaceful world of Mina Harker, whom he has chosen as his bride. Only Dracula's old adversary, the devil's exorcist Van Helsing, doctor of paraoccult spiritual sciences, tries to stop the disaster.

The open-air site is located in the northern part of the park, near the Orthodox church, right next to the memorial obelisk of the Rothschild Palace. Access via Sebastian-Rinz-Straße coming from Miquelallee or via August-Siebert-Straße coming from the city center.
