Obsthof am Steinberg

Strawberry cultivation has been a tradition at Schneiders Obsthof am Steinberg for over 50 years! Up to 15 strawberry varieties - all organically grown - prove that organic strawberries taste very different! The approximately 1 km long hike leads through the rustic apple orchard to the organic strawberry meadow. At least 5 strawberry varieties are available for tasting - depending on the season and ripeness of the fruit, there may of course be more varieties. The boss Andreas Schneider personally explains interesting facts about the history of the strawberry and the cider philosophy and provides insights into the organic farming methods of the farm.

The price includes a glass of Haussschoppen or apple juice as a welcome drink and an apple cider or juice during the hike. There are also at least 5 strawberry varieties available for tasting. The organic snack includes: 1 bratwurst (mixed pork/beef sausage) or 2 vegan organic cevapcici with homemade potato salad or 1 large hand cheese, bread and butter. Served with 1 glass of house wine, apple juice or water. Subject to change without notice!

Punctual arrival is requested. Please wear sturdy shoes and clothing suitable for the weather. The events take place in all weathers; if the weather is too bad, the moderated tasting will take place indoors. The walk is not barrier-free and takes around 1.5 hours.
