New ground for neo-soul: singer NI-KA and pianist Jona Heckmann are launching SOIL - a concert series for anyone who wants more than the usual. Once a month, the excellent-sounding concert hall of the Bonifatiuskirche is transformed into a place where genre boundaries dissolve and a common pulse emerges. Each edition brings in new guest artists and combines their influences with the energy of the up-and-coming Frankfurt scene. The sound of SOIL moves between neo-soul, hip-hop, jazz and experimental music. NI-KA, who is considered the most exciting newcomer in her genre, combines elegant soul melodies with urban depth in her music. She has been living in Frankfurt for six years and has been shaping the city's stage landscape with her unmistakable style for three years. Her musical companion Jona Heckmann, jazz pianist, arranger and composer, is the founder of the Urban Art Orchestra - a formation consisting of a rhythm section, brass section and string quartet. Together, they created a unique sound on NI-KA's debut album "Anni" and are now set to create something new.

Laureen Mobo is active both as a singer in various projects and as a composer for solo projects and for her band 'Mobile', among others. Her music knows no genre boundaries and combines jazz, funk, soul and hip-hop into a completely captivating mix.

Bright Osei Boadu is an award-winning bassist, singer, composer, songwriter, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.

Max Lange's sound is characterized by influences from jazz, neo soul and hip-hop. With his band Neo, he is currently working intensively with electronic drum and bass beats and exploring ways of transferring the sound aesthetics of programmed grooves to the acoustic drum set.
