Jasmine Jethwa's musical path is rooted in the combination of Western and Indian culture and her upbringing in London. Inspired by her grandfather, a stage painter, she began dancing and studied contemporary, jazz, ballet, tap and modern. During her dance studies, she discovered her passion for music and followed her instinct to focus on it. Her dance background shapes the rhythm and emotional depth of her songs. Influenced by Bollywood films and western music from her childhood, she creates acoustic folk-pop songs with an expressive voice in which the guitar always takes center stage.
